Humble Pie

Open Wednesday to Sunday 9-3, Humble Pie serves a comforting, home cooked breakfast, lunch, coffee and cakes. It's an Earby Hostel favourite! Roast beef, onions, gravy and Yorkshire pudding wraps... It's always a winner and only a 15 minute walk from the hostel.

Cobble Kitchen

Cobble Kitchen offers free local delivery of their soulful, seasonal and local food. This is available Monday - Friday (excluding bank holidays) within 7 miles of Skipton. Order via their Facebook page or our contact form at the bottom of their site. All orders require at least 24 hours’ notice and are subject to availability, so booking in advance is advisable to avoid disappointment!

Craven Arms

Craven Arms is a lovely pub a 5 minute drive away. They use locally sourced ingredients and cook everything from scratch. They serve cosy and comforting meals and do a great Sunday roast.

The Hare and the hound

The Hare and Hound in Lotherdale is a 10 minute drive away. Alternatively walk to it via the Pennine Way. It is a village pub that will always give you a warm welcome. They have a great selection of real ales and a cosy atmosphere. A perfect pub after a big walk!

Musifir

Musafir is an Indian which is also in walking distance of the hostel. It is perfect for date night or a special occasion. The food is really excellent, the staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Win win win! They also do deliveries!

Palomino's

Palomino’s serves wood fired pizza from their pop up truck most Thursdays in Thornton Church lay-by. It is a real hidden gem. Check their facebook to confirm times and pre-booking a slot is advisable as it often sells out – as a testament to how good it is!

Phoebe's

Phoebe’s is a dog friendly bistro in nearby Skipton. Their food is beautifully plated, you’ll be snapping a quick photo before you tuck in. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, so take your pick!

Rani's

Rani’s is an Indian takeaway in Earby. Their head chef has 44 years of experience in making incredible Indian food – and it shows! Their food is really yummy and can be delivered straight to the hostel. It is also in walking distance of the hostel, so you have the option of evening walk in preparation for devouring an Indian for dinner.

The Punch Bowl

The Punch Bowl is within walking distance of the hostel, it’s great to go for an evening meal, especially if you arrive at the hostel late in the evening and don’t want to cook! It serves classic “pub grub” from lunch to evening. There is also a large beer garden with a play area and parking. They also put on a variety of events, so you might catch some live music too! The Tempest Arms

The Tempest arms is a 10 minute drive away. It is a newly refurbished 17th Century dog-friendly Inn and restaurant. It is a charming building and the menu has lots of kid friendly choices. They use lots of seasonal produce and their Sunday lunch is particularly good.

The Red Lion

There is a Red Lion pub just a stones throw from Earby hostel that do an excellent selection of real ales. It’s a popular spot for beer lovers. It’s a “proper pub” with a cosy log burner, low beamed lounge and convivial tap room.
