We’re big into cycling here at Earby Hostel, and take every opportunity to put foot to pedal and get out on our bikes. We’ve made sure to make our hostel cycling-friendly, whether you’re coming with a big group or travelling solo.

In 2020 nearby Skipton will be a host town in the 2020 Tour De Yorkshire! The annual Tour De Yorkshire which has taken place every year since 2015, a year after the Tour De France started here in 2014. The 2020 sportive ride will take place on 3rd May. Steven Burke Sports Hub

The Steven Burke Sports Hub is a 1.1km road circuit laid within the boundary of Swinden playing fields in the heart of Pendle.

The circuit is 1052.5metres in length, measured round the inside edge. The velodrome shaped section is 255metres in length. There are four cut-throughs allowing it to be used by 3 distinct groups for training purposes.

The road cycling circuit is open for FREE public use and safe from traffic, but you can book it for private sessions.

White Rose Classic

The White Rose Classic is a premier Yorkshire sportive organised and supported by the all-volunteer Ilkley Cycling Club.

There are three distances to choose from depending on your experience, fitness and challenges! The three routes cover seven named climbs, numerous hills and endless bumps as well as some smooth road to really get your speed up!

There’s no official website for Haworth Cobbles, so we’ve included a link to a Cycling Plus article in which Guy Kesteven recollects his 45 mile punishing route along the Yorkshire pavé.

There’s nothing like rolling down a steep cobbled path, getting the blood flowing and losing all feeling from your brain to your bum!
