Finding somewhere that can comfortably accommodate lots of people, while retaining some privacy and delivering all of the necessities like a well-equipped kitchen and enough toilets can be hard. Cottages and private homes can be very expensive, and often the room set-up isn’t great for really large groups.

They’re a budget-friendly way to get away as a large group without breaking the bank.
When we re-opened Earby Hostel we wanted to create a space that could be enjoyed by families or groups of friends, not just walkers and cyclists. Our bedrooms could accommodate 3 large families (there’s 7 beds in one bedroom, 6 beds in the other two and a 2-bed room as well), and we installed plenty of toilets, washrooms and showers so that there’ll never be a long wait.
The lounge has been well stocked with games and books to keep the littlest to the oldest entertained, and you can spend hours of fun in our wild garden, hunting for wildlife or enjoying al fresco dining or cooking up a storm on the barbecue.
There’s plenty of space to eat, with a large dining room seating 21 people and a more relaxed dining area just off the kitchen. We’re well set-up for a self-catering holiday in Yorkshire or Lancashire.
That’s right, we sit right on the border between God’s Own Country and The Ribble Valley, so you definitely won’t be stuck for choice when it comes to things to do.

We understand that some families wouldn’t want to share a hostel with people they don’t know, so we’ve allocated several weekends in 2020 when the hostel is available for private hire. You can have the run of the place, all 21 beds, the two dining areas, the lounge, self-catering kitchen, wildlife garden, bike storage and large private car park. The cost starts at just £400 a night, that’s less than £20 per person!
The last weekend in January, February, April, May, June, July, August and September are all available for private bookings.
