Fancy a Festive Weekend Away where you’ll see a lovely part of the country, be active and enjoy some good food and drink? Well then why not visit us in November and run the Skipton Santa Fun Run?
Skipton’s Santa Fun Run keeps getting bigger each year. This year the run will take place on Sunday 24th November, perfect for a winter weekend away with friends or family.
Here’s what we suggest for the weekend…
Saturday 23rd November – Check in at earby Hostel. Drop your bags and head out on a walk along our stretch of The Pennine Way. Make your way back via one of our village pubs or cafes for a drink and something to eat. Spend the evening at a local eatery like Jade Palace Cantonese or The Bull at Broughton.
Sunday 24th November – Wake up and let Matt cook you breakfast – perfect fule for your 5km fun run. We’ll pick up your Santa suits before you arrive, so you can jump into your Santa suit and we’ll help you get to Skipton in time for the race warm-up! Speed round the 5km, jog or walk it. The run is family friendly and very welcoming to walkers so don’t worry about your fitness level! Once you’ve crossed the finish line then why not have a traditional pub lunch and a bit of a bar crawl? Skipton is bursting with pubs, bars and cafes that offer a welcome retreat to visitors, even if you are dressed as Santa! Have a mooch round town, maybe do a little shopping, then head back to Earby Hostel.
Enjoy your supper in our dining room or cosy lounge, you could cook for yoursleves, Matt can cook or you could get a takeaway. Then relax, play some board games, read a book and rest in one of our bedrooms.
Monday 25th November – Head back home after a fun-filled, active and outdoors weekend with friends and family.
